At the Centre for Postcolonial Education, NIRMAN, Varanasi, Gaurav is a faculty member for visiting students from the US and Europe. Students come to NIRMAN to take courses in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Gaurav teaches courses in Indian aesthetic theory, the Indian performing arts, Theatre in Education, movement, and acting. He also conducts short workshops for visiting students and faculty.

He has taught students from Kalamazoo college, Lewis and Clark College, University of Washington-Bothell, and many other institutions as well as independent students.
